Hello,

This is my first post. I am a beginner and have been learning on an acoustic for a year now, and decided to pickup my first electric. I just received my Blizzard Pearl Maple American Tele! I decided on a tele because the music I like is generally played on one. It looks and feels amazing. I have one question, though. The low E and A strings, when fretted (anywhere) rattle. It looks like the strings are touching the fret board while vibrating. I've tried fretting lightly and harder and it seems to happen in both instances.

Is this common? Is there a general fix for this? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Just want to see if there is something I can do before taking it to a pro.

Thanks!
Tom

Hi,
You should have it "set up" Do you have a local Fender Dealer?? If you are handy, you can do the set up and adjustments yourself, you will find them in the manual, or on the website.
Thats a fine guitar, "fixing" your buzzing should not be a problem

Good Luck

Bill

Thanks for the advice. I just took it to the authorized dealer listed on the website (yamano music - Ginza, Tokyo) and the tech did the setup in 10 minutes, no charge. Sounds great now, thanks!

Enjoy your new guitar! I also have a new MIA Tele in Crimson Red transparent. It was between that and the color you have. I love them both.

Thanks everyone!

I actually was deciding between this and the crimson red also. You can't go wrong either way.

I actually am hearing a distortion now with the G string. Almost sounds like a rattle snake when picked. I can hear it by the bridge so I am trying to just learn the guitar setup so I can learn to properly fix these things myself.

Thanks again!

set ups are so important. even new guitars usually need one, even if done at the factory, the bounce in shipping.
