Ive saw an add for a fat tele ( tele with a humbucker) here:

http://www.adverts.ie/showproduct.php?p ... #poststart

What model of a tele is this, as i cant find it on this site, and is this a good price for it? Its super pretty, and although i cant afford it, im seriously thinking about it! Damn GAS!

The ad says "US Fat Tele," and when I looked at the list of parts/wiring diagrams, it was the last one listed in the Telecaster section. Here's a link to the parts/wiring diagrams page. I have a Fat Tele, but it's a Squier Fat Telecaster...oh well, I still like it, especially since mine has a Sherwood Green Metallic body, which is no longer available for the Squier Fat (SH) Telecasters. I'm not good at math, at all, so I'll guess the advertised price is a good deal.

Matt

The USA Fat tele was a model brought out around 2000 for a short period, before the HS model come into being. This is not to be confused with the slightly earlier California Series Teles, which were similar with a HB at the neck, but were USA parts assembled in Mexico. California Series guitars have a serial number with a AMXN prefix.

650 EURO is probably a fair price, the Fat Teles are not that common and are becoming sought after by collectors like myself.

The one pictured has been modified, it looks like it has graffite saddles instead of the standard USA Tele block saddles.

Here's mine for comparison purposes:
