'68 Fender Blonde Telecaster w. maple that I wish I still had, but foolishly traded for a Les Paul that I eventually sold.

I first played a Tele when I was about 15 or 16, it wasn't mine it belonged to the guitarist in the band I was in. I bought my first Tele (Custom 72 RI) in April of last year, so that puts me at..... 46.

14, it was my brother's Squier. I traded him a Nintendo DS and a bunch of DS games. So now it's mine. :D

When I was a kid in the early 60's I used to listen to Don Rich and the Buckaroos on the radio. I would just dream of seeing a Telecaster in person, let alone own one. We lived 120 miles from the closest city Winnipeg. Last week, my dream came true....I am 55 yrs old and bought my first tele. I am infatuated w/my new MIM sunburst maple neck tele! I feel like Im 14 again.
:D

Is Roy Buchanan your dad?

Seriously though, do you still have that '53 Tele?

No, sorry to say I don't still have them {my dad had 3} but I still have the old Strat.

i was 14. A guy down the road who built acoustics had a old 50's in see through blonde. I was mesmerized and went and got a job, bunked school to work and bought myself a cheap tokai. Which i swapped for a marlin sidewinder a few months later. I consider that a worse mistake than my first marriage.

First one played -- 22 -- someone else's at a country jamboree

First one owned -- 50 -- my "Big 50" B'day present to myself was an 02 Hwy 1 Sunburst.

33.

My Rickenbacker 330 which I had since I was 19 was replaced by my first Tele (AV52RI) last month. I don't miss the Ricky one bit!
