Where did the information about a huge price hike from Fender in February come from? How Much? I've been looking for just the right one for months. Sure hate to see the price jump just before I find it.

I got an e-mail from the place I use in Glasgow, their Fenders all go up by 20% on Jan 12th.

Yup, same here in Little Rock, AR. Last year this time, a MIM standard was $399, now will be $549. The 2009 Pbass I wanted my dealer to order with maple fretboard was even more than the online standards with rosewoods at $627. Now I wished i'd bought last year! ugh.

It's just the annual price hike boys. Corporate greed at it's finest. Got to keep the "fat cats" fat y'know.

Quit wasting time and buy that guitar!

There's a note on one of the websites I was looking at today (possibly the same store Snowy was talking about as one of their stores is in Glasgow?) saying all their Fenders are going up between 10 and 20% on the 12th Jan.

When I bought mine early December (from a different store) the guy I dealt with told me their prices would be going up "any time within the next few weeks". I thought he was just giving me the hard sell but apparently not!
