i want new pickups for my MIM tele. i was interested in seymour duncans because people say they are good and i've seen videos of them and they sound good.

i play just regular rock, and indie rock. what duncans would b best for that. quarter pounders? or what?

o and i usually play with gain only like on 4 and i play clean 50% of the time.

tell me what u guys think

thanks.

Normal vintage output pickups imo.
On the SD site you do have sound clips.

Nice song by Hammond. So, you definitely don't want a high output pickup like the Quarter-Pound, check the Duncan 54 (STL-1) and Broadcaster (STL-1b). I have this last one .

The 54 (STL-1) is brighter and has a little less output, and the Broadcaster (STL-1b) is about 8K (I never measured mine, but I believe its about that) so, its a hot single coil for tele, has more mids and a tad less highs than the 54, sounds more "honky" when overdriven, still, it's really twang (if you use thinner strings like 9s, to increase the effect). So both are great, I believe, but I'd recommend the Broadcaster if you prefer a slightly darker, more compressed bridge pickup tone.

Ckeck the Duncan's website - they have some sound samples and a honest description of the pickups, so you can compare each other.
