Hello,

so I got a classic player 50´s Tele in white blonde and that guitar really fits me perfectly but teh PUs do sound a bit to thin and not definite enough.
So that´s why I will change the PUs. Do you think the texas specials are the right choice for me? I´m looking for a vintage like tone (gilmour , clapton) but with enough output to let the tele scream just like frusciante does when he plays solos.

Peace

Hi pal, go for the seymour duncan broadcaster for the lead and a str 54 for rythm . Or for a lower output go for the antiquity, they are better sounding and but more expensive. Both sets have vintage tone and I recommend the Broadcaster over the STL 54 because it has more mids. Visit the seymour duncan website. Also you can try the nocasters from fender. Great vintage tone with power to boost the amp

Wait, something is not right... There's no Classic Player's (aka Baja Tele) Telecaster in white blonde, only Desert Sand and "Honey" Blonde. And Gilmour and Clapton are famous strat players...You're not going to get close to their sound using a Tele with hotter than average pickups... and actually the pickups on the Baja are already kind of hot, I do believe hotter than the Texas Specials for telecaster.

Frusciante has a late 50s or early 60's Custom Tele if I can gather, pickups from that era were originally were pretty low in output.
