I find it rather annoying that that very important part of information is not provided anywhere on any of the music sights for any brand, not just Fender. The Highway One looks like a gppd guitar but I was just wondering is it made in the USA or Mexico?

Hi folkrock91, all the Highway One models are the entry level of the USA made guitars.

You can find reference to the fact that the Highway 1 series is made in America in a number of places at this very website, and other websites also mention this. Musicians Friend is only one example. Try not to be annoyed so quickly. The information is out there and readily available.

Where is that information provided on Musiciansfriend.com? I've never seen that anywhere in the last year of going to that website.

I saw it today. Did a product search on Highway 1. The page that came up showed a Highway 1 for sale for $829 and stated at the top of the page that it was made in Corona California.

entry level my "sweet aunt fanny". They are at a lower price point because they are less expensive to make due to the nitro finish and vintage hardware costing less.

The term entry level implies lesser quality and they are by no means a lesser quality guitar than the other US made instruments.

If I misinterpreted your post Claude, I ask your forgiveness.

Thou shall consider yourself as forgiven :)
Sorry, I am aware that my English is not as good as my French. I used the term "entry level" because I though that it meant only the less expensive option when buying a USA made Fender nothing more, nothing less. I have been playing my Tele for four months now and I can say that it is a superb, great quality guitar. If I embarassed myself with the inapropriate use of this expression then I am the only one to blame, I thank you mthorn00 for bringing my attention on this.

Wow Claude your English is many times better than my French that is certain! I wasn't aware that you were not a native English speaker.

Do you play guitar in French or English?

Well I would say that MIM are made in Ensenada by Mexicans and Americans, and MIA are made in Corona by Americans and Mexicans.

I have a MIM Strat and a Highway One Tele, and I enjoy them both. They are two great guitars.
