Hello Thestrokesfan,

Should be a sweet guitar,
Great price too.
Parchment is kinda wee bit off white.
Best of luck with it.
Send over photos when it arrives.

Cheers.

Here is a side-by-side picture of a 2006 MIM Tele (left) and a 2009 MIM Tele (right. After playing them, I am sure there are more differences than just cosmetics. My Red Tele had an SD Hotrails humbucker in the bridge so it sounds different than stock, but there is still something about the 2009 that I can't quite put my finger on. It is a really nice guitar.

hello i think you posted your pics in wrong place, but i'm not bothered, glad you did actually,

i have the exact 2009 mim tele 4wks old, that i'm having major issues with fender on,

seeing you have the same guitar can you look at the fret wires and see if you have any type of markings or grooves on the sides of the fret wires,
look like machine of some sort squeezed the fret wire to hard,

fret wires should be smooth from wood up with no indentations just like crowns, NO gooves, burrs, markings of any kine on their sides,

look forward to hearing back from you, i only wish i could post a pic for you to compare, i can only email pics to you as i dont know how to post

cheers

I have a relatively new 2008 MIM and the frets are smooth as a baby's behind.

Hi Standish, I posted the picture so that the original poster could see the difference between an older MIM Tele and the 2009 MIM Teles.

As Troublecall said above, my frets are also as smooth as a baby's behind. I'm really sorry that yours is causing you so much trouble. I read in another of your posts that you were going to write Fender. Have you done that yet? If so, what was their response?

By the way, if you have pictures you might be able to send them to me via PM (Private Message). Try clicking on the PM icon at the bottom of my post.

as you can see can't send you a PM

i'll work on how to send pics to you, i did contact fender and they want to take a look at it, issue is i'm outta of north america for a few years at school, so it would cost more than the cost of a new guitar to pay the shipping to them and back to me

i'm sure this is not the only new guitar out of the M factory with this problem, this issue of bad wire could affect all models made there if the same roll of fret wire is used across the model ranges, we'll see what fender comes up with they understand my situation and said they'll work with me so i'll wait and see what they say. and let you know
