Anyone here own one of these? My dealer sent me an e-mail this evening, this guitar is on special. I'm seriously considering a demo this week, any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Hi, Snowy. I owned a Deluxe Nashville Tele until last week. There was a new 1965 Mustang Reissue that I couldn't resist buying and the Nashville had to be sacrificed as a trade in.

The Nashville was very nice. It had vintage tuners, a very cool looking Honey Blonde finish, 5 way Strat style switching and Tex-Mex pickups. I never quite bonded with it, though. Its tones were very Strat like and the standard switching bypassed the traditional Tele neck and bridge setting. I missed that.

It's an excellent Tele at the standard price. It might be hard to resist when it's on special.

Hi John,

It sounds like the same guitar, the one I'm looking at has the same spec. I might go in later next week and try her out. I just heard they got a couple of Tele Thinlines in  I have to stay away from that place man

Hmmm, Thinline Teles. Now I'm tempted and I'm at the point where I'm forcing myself to trade in a guitar when I buy a new one. Ah well, it sure is fun. :D

Let us know if you demo the Nashville Tele and what you think of it. I liked mine but it never turned into love.

John
