Hello, this is my first post And would like to say Hello To you all :), I Bought new strings for my telecaster, its the first time i have changed them , and the sound is really TWANGY and stiff, it there a quick way to "Break them in" and also is there any type of lubricant or anything for my fingers so slide to different frets easier i was told powder will work but taught ill ask you all first :)

Hello and welcome to the forums.
If you're replacing your strings I would recommend Ernie Ball's. They sound great and they last a long time.
If you want to slide faster, wipe off your strings after each time you play. This will keep the grime and stuff off the strings which slows you down.
A good substance to speed things up is vegetable oil. It dosen't last long, but it works well. Good luck.

After the guitar is tuned and the strings have been all stretched out, I'd say it only takes a good hour or two of playing to get them fully broken in ... if that.
