I love my tele through just about anything. I tell you, it through the Matchless DC-30 is like heaven though. It makes the amp break up in just the right places...

Oh man , Nikininja great fine mate!

That looks killer, I bet it sounds even better. Good job on that, i'd like to hear some recordings of that. Kills w/ a tele i'm sure.

Good to hear from you!

I'm planning a few road trips this year, so I picked myself up an amp that will be easy to get around (and not take up too much room in my car). I tried a couple of micro/mini amps earlier today, and ended up going for the VOX DA5. It sounded great in the guitar store, I'm about to plug her in. For anyone interested in cables, the guys were all raving about the new Elixir cables. I got myself one to try out, I'll let you know how it is.
what it says on the box:

" Do cables really impact guitar tone?" Cables can distort the sound of your guitar, by pushing the mids up and turning the highs down. Elixir cables features a unique cable technology that fixes this problem by delivering the lowest capacitance and truest voice of your guitar.

Sounds good to me  Gonna go hook her up, later dudes....

Snowy,
the lead you got with the gilmour would make a good comparison against the elixir lead.

Lets see how the elixir measures up to one that gilmour uses eh

Well Nik, I actually took my black strat in to the guitar store here, to let the guys try her, I also took the Evidence cable. This Elixir cable stands up to it, I'm really impressed with it. I'll give it a real workout here tonight, and let you know more. I'm lovin this little VOX amp as well, extremely impressed with it. Life is sweet

Im currently the same way inclined mate. Ive gone from using 2x 100watt stacks in my bedroom to a couple of 5 watt amps for practice. I'm even struggling with my 15watt blues junior. Theres something very special about small amps in tight spaces.

I roll with a Traynor YCV40WR and my ash bodied 1999 American Standard. The sound has that VOX AC30 vibe. I love it for what I play.

My choices are a blues junior and a 65 twin reverb, I think any tube amp will do.

I've been using this cable for a few days now Nik, I have no negative comments to make whatsoever. Highly impressed with this, and forgot to mention, you get a free pack of strings with the cable

Hey Snowy! Do you think it's better than the one that came with our Gilmour's or just as good? I'll have to give it a try. I would like all my cables the same from guitar to effects to amp! 8)

I'm not saying the Elixir cable is better than the Evidence cable Hop, what I will say though is this cable definately stands up against the Evi. It's a crystal clear sound, a really true sound. Definately worth trying I'd say, one mans poison etc etc
