If the place is small a Blues Jr. should be enough. As the place gets larger you can go up the scale of the Hot Rod series. They are all nice tube amps. You could go historical with a reissue.

Yep, a Tele and Deluxe Reverb can carry you through many settings and situations, hony tonk or otherwise.

My Super 210, though I'd consider mic'ing my SCXD depending on the size of the room and quality of the PA system.

I am surprised no one has said Hot Rod Deluxe, than again there have been some problems with the recent offerings. When they work, they have a ton of tone. I love mine which seems to have been working nicely. If your going to be playing larger rooms, maybe try a nice Blues Deville 410. Now that is an amp!

Yeah, I'd go a Hot Rod Deluxe for sure. I have NEVER had any probs with mine, none, no issues at all. It is a newer model, only 500 were made so they were probably put together with a bit more care. But I love the sweet warm tones and then bright crisp notes when needed. I love it!

I don't play any Fender amp, but I love the sound of my Sovtek Mig50 !!!
(It's a bit comparable with an old Fender Bassman...)

My Carvin Bel Air 2 X 12 it's 50 watts so it's a bit of overkill, but it's tweed and fabulous

59 watkins clubman. Like a champ but without the excessive compression. No other guitar sounds as good as the tele through it.

I play my American Standard Tele through a Roland Cube 30x. It's a fantastic amp. So many options...

I've got two Tele's and two amps, I've been playing both for the last few hours. My Tele Deluxe is hooked up to my Blues Jnr and pedal board, I had a ball earlier this afternoon  My MIJ Tele is hooked up to my spider jam, playing along with a bluesy track within the amp. Do you ever get the feeling that your guitar is an extension of yourself? I swear at some point tonight, I really felt at one with mine. She has a way of bringing the blues out in me, it's a magical feeling 8)
