I am just learning how to play the guitar and just picked up a Tele Baja. I am also living in a hotel while I do some contracting. I had a complaint about the noise from my Vox DA5, so I need to find a set of headphones. Back at home I have a set of Grado SR225s and am wondering if these will work well for my need and with the line out on my amp? I have heard that guitar amps don't work so great with headphones and am worried the Grado's might be too detailed for this application.

Any other headphone recommendations?

Thanks! :)

. . . . . or just turn the heck down. You can hear to play at very low volume levels.

Get yourself a Mini Tone Master amp and a nice pair of headphones. That does me good for late night practice.

Your VOX DA5 has an input for headphones.

Sennheiser 280 pros, or a set of earbuds CX400. Both under $100. Also I have been practicing in the front room watching TV with my wife through a Tascam Guitar Trainer with my real cheap Sony folding headphones. when It matters and I need good sound, I use my 280's. The best dollar for dollar, though your Grados are pretty good too. I also have the new roland mobile cube amp that has an ear phone jack and it is even better than the guitar trainer.
