Post subject: New to boards...Where are the Paisley Teles?

Hey guys! Long time onwer of an American standard strat but new to the forums.

i have always wanted a pink paisley tele....now i can't find one anywhere! I remeber they used to be on Musiciansfriend.com all the time. have they been discontinued or what?

I know there are these Japanese teles that are talked about on the boards alot but i have not ever heard of japanese Fenders. Where do you get them?

You will find the Japanese Pink Paisleys on eBay if you look hard enough. The prices vary greatly, depending on how much the seller thinks he can trick you into believing they are rare :shock: .

They aren't rare, you can buy them brand new in Japan. :wink:

There are actually three versions as far as I know.

1. Original 1968 USA version. Super expensive and very rare.
2. MIJ Version - made in the mid 1980s, these are gradually increasing in price.
3. Current "Crafted in Japan" version, from 1998 through to current day.

I have a MIJ and a CIJ. I bought my CIJ on ebay from the ex-Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page (although I didn't know it was him until he answered the door when I went to pick it up :shock: )

My daughter has one. She likes it almost as much as the Daisey Rocks she sees in the store. :wink:

It's still too big for her.
