Hey guys!

Most of you know that Fender had a custom shop production called the Flat Head Telecaster. Well as sad as it is, they don't produce it anymore even though I amongst others would love to get my hands on one. I noticed a couple of days ago that they of course still do produce these guitars on special orders, now I never saw custom shop as an option for me, but do any of you have an idea of how much it would cost to get one made?

Thanks!

I don'r know what the price may be, but you figure that the non-Custom American Standard can get up to $999, and Signature Custom Shop Guitars, like the new David Gilomour is starting at $3999...So while I cannot say for sure, I would say be looking into spending at least $1500-2000 for a special Custom Shop Production, but I wouldn't be surprised if you had to spend at least twice that figure (of not more) cause most of the time Custom also means a "custom" price for your custom guitar...

I think it has 2 humbuckers, and they might be EMGs...I never really heard much about this guitar, but I think many people got interested in this one because there are photos of Jim Root (Slipknot-Stone Sour) playing one a few years back before they started making a Jim Root signature model.

Rather than go "Custom Shop", I'd suggest buying an MIA Tele and modding it into a Flat Head. Less expensive and more satisfying to my way of thinking. I've "customized" each of my guitars exactly to my liking. I think it's better than just buying something off the rack.
