"Best" and "great" are relative terms, not absolute. Use what works for you.

Yes. I use many guitars to get diffrent sounds. I can take my sons' Squire and play many songs with it! As long as you know what to play, you're fine with any guitar that has nice tone, sound, and feels good in your hands...

Well brother, I am a Fender man through and through so I'll agree that the Strat and Tele are the best things out there.

Not saying that other guitars aren't worth too. I just tend to stay with the big two: Fender and Gibson. Everybody else is just making copies of Fender's or Gibson's.

My David Gilmour Relic Strat arrived today but I don't consider it as collectible as such, but what a great player :D

Sorry bkeesecker,

Back to your question
At one moment or another if you own a Tele you just come back to it as it's a still very attractive both physically and sound wise.
It's response is unique.
And there are so many different ones from the Beauty to the Beast...

Seeing that we all suffer from GAS, the test is always, what guitar is the best? As most of us know, there is never any difinitive answer. Because every guitar and player is unique, can there ever be an answer to that question?
