I read quite a bit here, but don't post much. But I had started looking for a tele to go with my strat. I stumbled on a Squier Butterscotch Blonde at a pawn shop really cheap {$40} and I bought it. It is a wonderful guitar, but I have one major concern with it. My father-in-law, who has played a strat for the last 30+ years, will hardly let me play it. I have not been able to pry it out of his hands for the last two weeks.

Thanks again for all the good advice, even if you didn't know you were giving it to me.

Hello Scrub0318,

Those butterscotch tele's look good and play well.
They represent a excellent value in the Squire line.
I've considered picking one up and if I see a $40 tele
I'm shure going to jump on it.

Cheers.

Watching how happy he is playing the darn thing, I am considering giving it to him for Christmas, and just keeping my eyes open for another deal on something similar for myself. May sound cheesy to some folks, but he is one heck of a guy {one heck of a guitar player too} and he never asks for much of anything for himself.

But you guys were right, I love my strat, but I have to have tele too!!!!

great story !!!! warms the heart .

One of the best things my teenage son and I have to keep us bonded together during his, well teenage years is our love of music and guitars.

Something we both love and can share together.

My daughter (also a teen) likes fishing, and that works too.
