Hey everyone I plan on receiving my new Vintage Hot Rod 52 Telecaster on friday. Being a long time strat player I have recently found the beauty of telecaster. And while I still enjoy my strat, I think a teles are just simply awesome. I recently have begun to play county and hybrid pick and must say that it just is not the same on a strat.I will post pics when I receive it.

I can't afford, or was patient enough to save up for, a Vintage Hot Rod Tele, so I made one using a SX Tele and GFS mini-humbucker...

Good choice in Teles, and let us know how it its once you get it

Nice Tele.
I think you made the right choice.

I know the pots are 375k, which are hard to find, but they wanted to use something that was in-between 250k and 500k. I'll get you the caps value later. I found a wiring diagram for this guitar awhile back on the net, but can't seem to locate it now, but have it printed out at home....

Awesome! I want one of these so bad. I have a 62 AVRI which I love, but I played one of these recently and it might just be the best Tele I've ever played.

The 52 is what many consider the standard and IMO the hot rod perfected that. Been trying to trade my AVHR 62 Strat for one for some time, but unfortunatley no takers.

But, I'll get me one eventually.

Congrats on a great new guitar.
