Hey some of you have seen my posts about the 52 reissue I have been re-building.

I have buzz central going on and cant make it go away, anyone here got some good tips ?????

I shielded the cavity with the pots and switch with 4 mil copper tape with conductive glue, the groud wires all come together on a lug that I screwed to the cavity through the copper tape.

I shielded the pickguard with the same tape and yet the buzz is still very loud.

most of the buzz goes away when I touch the plate the pots are attached to.

HELP !!!!!!!

What kind of wire did you use for the ground?

The copper with adhesive back (www.stewmac.com) worked well for me. Cut about 80% of the hum.

I covered the entire controll cavity in the copper tape and ran the ground wire through the tape and into the wood of the guitar.

I also copper taped the pickguard.

I will say that these are supposed to be hot overwound pups and most of the hiss goes away by turning the volume down maybe 20%

could it just be the hot wound alnicos ????? and not intereference ???

Do I need to connect all of the cavities with solder and wire to achieve the effect ???

The wire I used was the original Fender wiring that came with the switch and pots.

Thanks for your help.
