Well after six weeks (not so bad) I finally got my 2008 Highway One Telecaster :D :D :D

Sorry I can't post pictures right now, but I'll get at it asap. It's exactly the one on the Fender products site, midnight wine, rosewood fretboard, a real beauty. I also found that the Alnico pick-ups have a different sound than my Strat, complementary and interesting, a great choice. I am very proud of this new addition to my Fender family.

2006 Strat, 2008 Blues Junior, 2008 Tele.

Next step, blues lessons. I'm tired of trying to reinvent the wheel all by myself, and trying to learn by listening only. I think it could be my next project later this fall. After the winter tire rush at the garage. :?

Cheers.

Congratulations, Claude. Enjoy. I cannot wait for pictures.

If your Highway One Tele is as sweet as my Hwy 1 strat - you are going to be one happy puppy!

I am happy for you.

Thanks Troublecall. A very sweet axe indeed. As expected, very different from my Strat. The strangest thing is that when we opened the shipping box at the store, we found a wavy irregular patern on all the lenght of the fretboard, like veins in marble. Astounding. :D

Maybe now I'll have to seek medical help for the first symptoms of GAS.

Congradulations Claude, she sounds great. Don't forget to post a few pix for us, I look forward to seeing her. As for the blue's, if your Tele is anything like mine, it will bring the blue's in you right out. Enjoy :D

My apologies for the lack of proper pictures, I am still in the experimental phase of taking digital pictures AND posting them. I know it sounds Neanderthal but hey, posting pictures on the web was not my expertise until recently, when I discovered that I'd like to do it. So, I took this picture from the Fender Product site and honestly it doesn't do justice to the guitar at all. Image
So I'm going to send pics asap. 8)

Cheers.

Ooookayyy, it is the beginning but other pics could follow as I experiment more.

Proud to properly present my Tele, sorry for the cheezy image. The ugly thing holding the guitar is me. I have been playing that baby for a week now and it exceeds all my expectations. A real astounding guitar. Thank you Fender.

Hi Cowboy1948, I actually tried one exactly like yours and I was hooked. One guitar center later I found the rosewood neck and that was it.
