Yes, I realize that this is a Fender fourm, but I just purchased a Squier Telecaster Standard in Vintage Blonde and I was wondering if anyone out there either owns one or has played one. I just want to find out if they are any good? What does the color look like? Just wondering because I really can't wait for next week. Thanks a lot.

i played a squire obey tele and really liked it .the neck is maple ,but the body wood they use is agathis .it is a thick forest wood.alot of the electronics are clone designs of fender,or duncan just a little quality difference but performance is good .alot [not all ]of the price point differences are in the fact that it just cost more to produce in the U.S. then it does in other countrys[epa laws, labor laws etc.]even PSR ships out their SE line to korea yet they are outstaning guitars at half the price as the U.S. built models

The color actually looks quite a bit like the pic on your avatar... I can't comment on the Standard, but I just bought a Vintage Mod Tele after I went looking for a MIM because after playing both, I preferred the Squier...

From what I've played from both Fender and Squier, Squier seems to have come a long way...I remember when I first starting playing the guitar, everyone was like "Squier is lame!". Doesn't seem to be the case anymore :D

I have 6 Squier Teles, and to me, I cannot tell any difference between the Squiers and a MIM Fender other than mine feel and sound better! The only thing about the Vintage Blond color is there maybe slight color variations. The Squier Vintage Blond can either be blond or a vanilla/banana pudding color or somewhere in between.
