I'm shoppin around for a new multi-effect pedal and i'm looking for one with less crazy distortion and possibly a EQ. Is there such a thing out there?

Look no further than the T.C. Electronics Nova System. It has great analog distortion and over drive stages that are in-line before the digital effects. All the effects are really good.

It does everything I need and then some. If your looking for a modeler than you'll have to look elsewhere, but it you want great effects then this is the one to get IMO.

I kinda like digitech's GNX4...I've found its really pretty tweakable, eq wise, although you need to take your time doing it. Heck, the amp and cabinet models alone are worth a week going through. Plus, the added 8 track and recording features are SO much fun to play with. It may have more than you asked for tone wise, but hey, you never know what your tastes may be in a few years, right?

I'm guessing that since you posted this in the Tele forum that you'll be playing a Tele through it?

I'd go with a Korg AX3000G. Great compression settings, slap delay, reverbs, all kinds of gain from subtle to 'in yer face', and very user friendly.

Hear the samples here :

Get that new Line6 Stompbox Modeler. It sounds good plus you can run effects before your amp and through the amp's effects loop at the same time.

The Vox SE's are nice even though I've never owned one but tried one out but I had a Zoom and liked it for a multi effects processor.
