Just curious... what would you like to see that is not there?

Personally, I'd love to see:
a. a forearm and belly contoured Tele - something like the Kotzen model only without the fancy top and gold hardware...
b. 72 Customs and Deluxe with an ash body, regular size 'buckers, and modern neck specs.
c. generally speaking: more ash and maple (and less alder and rosewood) and more modern player oriented specs (and less thin frets, small radius boards etc...).
d. Roy Buchanan signature axe...

Just me...
How about you guys?

I'd love the return of the Aerodyne Tele. Or anything with a P-90 for that matter.

I'll second the p90's. They made a Tele-Sonic with P90's so I'm told. Must've sounded like all hell braking loose. Also more double bound in colors. peace. J.J.B.

I'd like to see a mini-Telecaster so I can buy one for my student so her guitar will sound closer to the way mine does so she won't get discouraged because she sounds different. I tried to explain that her mini-Strat isn't going to sound like my Telecaster, but she just looks at me like I'm just trying to make her feel better. I realize that a mini-Tele would probably have to be a Squier, like the mini-Strat is, but doesn't Fender make the product line decisions for Squier?

I'd love to see a Fender Telecaster with 3 Jaguar pickups, Fender VI switching and a Stratocaster tremolo. Alas, I'll probably have to either build one like that, or mod an MIM Nashville Deluxe Tele. I'd almost want to use a Jaguar/Jazzmaster tremolo, but since part of the Tele mojo is a string through bridge, the Strat trem would be the better choice.

Hello JohnnyL,

Id like to see that guitar on the
album cover of "Born to Run"

Will the Boss ever let it happen?

Maybe if they ask him nice.

Cheers.

Heres something I'd like to see new happen to the telecaster, please understand its a bit "Gibson" for fender to do, but i think it would sound great....

Standerd tele necks and body shape, but on the top, mount the pickups like they do on les pauls, with mounting rings, no pickgaurd covering the top, and routing in the back to access the pickups/control plate.

Id also like to see a tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece added to it, I think it would look great, don't forget to make the pickups gibson sized humbuckers (preferably semour duncan).

In your choose of natural, 2 and 3 color sunburst, olympic white, and Fiesta Red.

I agree 100%. I'd buy one on the very first day they came out! I think they'd be super affordable, to boot.

All Mahogany (body and neck) Tele with two humbuckers and a Les Paul-style control layout. Pretty much the Tele-sonic but with a Mahogany neck.

For the guy that wanted a Tele with full sized humbuckers there's already Tele's out like this today, just check it out under the products on this site. Telecaster Deluxe or Telecaster Thinlline.
