Hi guys,

The guy who I bought this guitar off of said it was renecked about 20 years ago, and he thought it was a 72 or something era tele. I'm very skeptical.

What do you guys thinks?

First two digits of s/n (on neck), denote year of manufacture. I have a parts Tele with a body that looks just like yours, (except for the Bigsby, which I would like to have) and found the date of manufacture under the neck bridge(2013).
I realize now that the date is on the butt of the neck, at the cutout .

It might be kosher.
It might not be.
At this point it's a TLO, and one photo is not sufficient to determine if it is the real thing or not.
