Out of curiousity, why do you prefer the 3 saddle bridge or the six saddle bridge?

3 saddle is vintage

6 saddle is more modern

would pick 3 saddle, because that's sort of the tele's 'thing.' The strats thing is 6 saddle. But i am not gonna vote.

I'm a fan of the vintage 6 barrel saddle bridge in my Nashville. I may put one in my Baja to even out the intonation.

I have a Highway 1 Tele with the 3-saddle bridge. Intonation is trickier my tech tells me. I've never owned one with a 6-saddle bridge.

I prefer six saddles. That way you can always adjust each string individually.

I play a 6 saddle thinline/w strat bridge, looking to get a strat next to decrease my G.A.S., but other than that I like 6 saddles because you can adjust the strings individually and its easier to me to play.

If you're a Strat guy, why are you even looking at the Telecaster page?!

Cafeathers, you provide some very valuable advice on these forums but every once in a while you post some completely pointless comment about how you like strats more... Why may I ask? I have no idea what it accomplishes other than to put people off and raise your post count. Keep doling out the advice, but seriously, just quit with the strat comments unless it actually has bearing on the thread.

Back to the topic of the thread, I love the look and feel of the three saddle bridges, but intonation can be very tricky. So I go with glendale compensated saddles and they basically fix any problems (at least to my ear) and I keep that look and feel that i love. Also, some people say that the brass 3 saddles give better sustain. I dunno if this is true so while i can't tell a difference, I just go for whatever I personally like. Go for what you like.

I'm glad someone agrees with me. It drives me nuts when people do stuff like that. At least I know I'm not the only one who cares.

subject of Chet, he was only voting on the poll, if you look at the poll the OP added a selection of "Idon't like teles I'm a strat guy" or somrthing like that. If you don't want anyone to say the word "strat" why did OP put it in his poll? Not taking sides ,it's just confusing! I'd love to have a tele and one day hope to. Have a nice day! :)

wasn't the mentioning of the strat so much as it offered absolutely no insight to the thread whatsoever. And he has posted similar messages on many other telecaster threads. It just seems fairly incindiery most of the time. That was it. Again, that shouldn't belittle the great advice he gives out on a consistent basis. Its just odd that any chance he can, he seems to make it a point to say I don't like telecasters on a telecaster forum. Just my two cents.
