What would be a preferred mate to a Broadcaster bridge pickup? My aim with this Telecaster is blues and country that sounds great clean and can handle drive pedals nicely as well. From Rory Gallagher to Waylon Jennings if I had to describe it.

I got a few neck pickups in the parts bin already being Twisted Tele, Texas Special and a Quarter Pound.

You'll get as many opinions as you get answers.

Well I'm all for "use what you have" & recycle ideologies, so of those three I'd go with the Twisted Tele - even with the risk of the combination being too americanstandardy.
And naturally, (borrowing this one from a thirdrocker): YMMV.

Twisted Tele would be my choice for that.
