Anyone know much on the Squier line of thinline telecasters? I’m usually a strat guy but my style has been changing to more twang and country. Just purchased a new 19’ strat so wife won’t let me spend the money on a legit thinline so I was thinking about a Squier. Any advice

Wait fews months, next years, your wife will forget....

Better to wait for a good guitar than bought a guitar you will not like if your '19 Strat is a American made

Did you mean Squier Classic Vibes ?
These a great guitar.
I had a standard Telecaster, not Thin Line to fix few years ago, I was very surprise with A/B test with my American made Tele

If you're lucky, you might find a second hand CV Thinline or its Fender counterpart, Modern Player Thinline, that would suit your budget and take care of the itch for a year or two. The price for used instruments doesn't drop much, so after that time, you can complain about the guitar until your wife gets bored, lets you sell it and get your dream model.

Mind you, it could very well be that by that time you just won't let the Tele out of your hands even for the time it takes to upgrade the pickups...

Look for a modern player Thinline - I bought one with P 90s on spec - it's now my go to guitar for recording and gigging! As a bonus it's the lightest Fender I've ever owned!
