Found this California Series tele on ebay but not sure about its authenticity. (link below)

Any ideas?

Tuners are wrong - should be klusons

Has one too many string trees

Wood grain in headstock too smooth perhaps? (Suggests poplar).

And no serial number

Neck plate is from a Corona bass guitar.
Dot inlays look wrong.
No serial number
No micro-tilt
It is a Partscaster, or an outright Chinese copy with a bogus decal.

Necks and bodies made in Corona, shipped to Ensenada for paint and returned to Corona for assembly. Serial numbers prefixed with AMXN.
The one above, imho, is not genuine.
