Post subject: Removed humbucker covers off my Troublemaker Tele

I thought the Fender logo humbucker covers looked a bit cheesy so I took them off. I didn’t realize they would be different colors but It’s growing on me.

And now that you have modified your guitar for aesthetic reasons what do you think of the tonal changes from removing the covers?

Also, I am curious as to what the covers actually are made of.
Some pups have nickel plated steel and others are nickel/copper.
I don't think I have ever taken a look at a Fender cover.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Not 100% but I think they’re nickel over stamped steel.

Tonally, no difference however with the covers removed I can bring the pups a bit closer to the strings which gives me hotter output.
