Yeah, it has always baffled me why Fender/Squier didn't do a mini-Tele whey did the mini-Strat. I know I'd buy atleast 2 as well, one for my student and one for me at work. You're the first person in this thread that has understood what I was talking about. I mentioned this in another thread and received a warm response to it.

I can't believe there aren't more parents that own Telecasters that want these for their children.

I have small hands and the production of scaled-down guitars is attractive to me, especially a Fender Tele.

As for Fender customer support, I recently emailed them a question about the Corgan Strat and received a full reply in less than 24 hours. Outstanding!

Yes, it would also be perfect for players with small hands. See this is a great idea, I think Fender has missed the boat on this.

Not to mention women who also want to play Fender guitars with more ease.

There you go, there is a niche for this. I really think Fender could make a mint off of this idea.

Oooooh i was reading this and i thought of something brilliant! How about:

a fender mim stratocaster with 3/4 scale? Or the same thing with a telecaster!

Here are the advantages:

you get the fender logo

because it's smaller, it's cheaper

it'll have the fender sound and playability, but for the young rocker!

But, here are the disadvantages:

if the student doesn't like it, even though it's cheaper, it's less money wasted if you buy a squier

it just doesn't seem 'right.' A fender with a 22.75 inch scale or 22.5 on what is normally 25.5?

So, according to my thesis, the pros top the cons here for the small scale fender standard. Anyone willing to disagree, feel free to do so.

Ok, I wasn't able to decipher that puzzle, are you for it or against it. BTW, Fender did make a student guitar in the 50's, it was called a duosonic, it was a 22" scale.
