hey i know this is a little too early to say this cause my birthday's next year, but should i get a tele for that birthday?

Let me elaborate. I probably (definitely) will get a second, maybe third strat. I know a lot of stuff on the tele, but would i adjust to it, because the strat is SOOOOOO comfortable, and the tele is just a slab of wood. Also i am addicted to the vibrato tailpiece on the strat. I just wanted to know other people's experiences. Will my arms and fingers feel at home on the telecaster? Hoping for an MIM. ( though i love the look of the blonde on the squier affinity tele!) Just wanted some opinions.

Happy pickin'!

I think a tele is a good addition to your arsenal.
I must warn you though...
I went shopping around looking at tele's & ended up selling myself another strat.

Maybe you need a hybrid Tele with vibrato like this one ?

Hello Hendrixfan99,

I own a few stratocasters and a
mexican telecaster.

There are days
when the tele
is the only guitar I play.

I'm glad I have both.

Cheers.

I would love it if my Tele had a beveled edge where your forearm hits the body, like strats have. I was playing for a while the other night and noticed a big dent in my arm afterwards from the hard edge of body.

thats really the only feature I miss about my old charvel strat clone.

I recently played a tele that was very very close to as comfortable as my strat!

I played both but own a Strat. and a Strat is a little more on the brighter side than a Tele. The Tele cranked up is twangy but has more mid than a Strat and also the Tele cranked up to 10 will give more distortion than a Strat, which when you cranked a Strat to 10 it almost sounds like an electric banjo. (laughs)!
