My search has come full circle and I really like the idea of a HH Tele, the player series sounds fantastic and the American is very intriguing with the individual tone/volume for each pickup. Was wondering if anyone has played them because I’ve never seen them even in a store to try out.

I have an HH Tele, it's an FSR from about 2012, being able to blend the pickups with their individual volum knobs is very useful.

I like this Tele very much you can get some really good sounds out of it.

Sweet! They’re very cool! I’m eyeing getting one now!

Yes.
It had a flame top and a set neck IIRC.
Nice guitar.

Nice guitar.

Nice! Does it still ‘sound’ like a Tele? I’d like all the Tele with all the extra goodies.

Yes you get the Tele sounds with some extras thrown in, in my experience.

Yah .... ummm .... I don't know about that.
Humbuckers are not single coils.
Don't get me wrong.
An HH Tele is a wonderful thing.
As I alluded to above I played one and thought it was a great guitar.
That doesn't mean I think it was a feasible substitute for a normal Tele.
There is no way on God's green earth that it is the same as a regular single coil Tele.
You're not going to get traditional vintage Tele sounds out of an HH Tele.
That's just not going to happen.
Like humbuckers in a Strat.
You might like them.
You might love them.
You might hate them.
One thing you can never say is that they're the same thing.

If you can find a music store that is willing to bring one in without a firm commitment (ie: no deposit) from you that would be best.
You might love it to pieces.
You could just as easily hate it's freaking guts.

I'll second that opinion. To me, humbuckered Teles (and Strats) are quite different animals from their single-coil sisters. No general better/worse comparison there, they suit different purposes and/or different players.
Come to think of it, it was the Tele Deluxe and it's WRH's (that was on the dinosaur era, so the original CuNiFe's…) that made me realize I tend to prefer single coils to humbuckers.

I agree with the above posts, you're not going to get a single coil Tele sound but for me it still sounds enough like a Tele.

Here's a video you can see what I mean:

And that is definitely not candy appel red.

I'd do a quick video of mine but it's in storage at the moment and all I have access to is a single coil Tele.

That guy is a mighty fine picker.
I loved those jazzy chords.
