Hey, don't get me wrong here. I'm not aiming for people's affection or anything... It's just that I've been so in love with Telecasters ever since the first time I saw it, but the problem is I can't afford one. :( I do own an RG drop6 type YAMAHA and it's a screamer!

But how I wish I could own myself a Tele one day... I'd probably be in tears when that time comes.

Welcome to the Fender forums. They are great guitars. All I can say is to try and save until you can find a good used one. Maybe a few years later you could trade-in and upgrade. Good luck!

I couldn't agree more, when I played my tele in the store it was like playing an old friend, and NOTHING has been as good a fit for me. I say just keep saving for the real thing! ( I could probably have 2 if it weren't for my effects habit...)

Dude pick up a Squier or a nice used Mexican Tele. Prices are very reasonable. Live the dream.

I'll make another suggestion...get a used G&L ASAT from when they were made in Korea. You'll love it...and really...even though it doesn't say 'Fender' on it, it's pretty much Fender. Leo designed and one of the first Korean operations to put out excellent quality. USA pickups and often USA pots. I love mine and it stays right beside my USA Tele.

As someone suggested, get Squiers, then you can let your Telecaster addiciton control your life like me

6 Squier Telecasters. The Candy Apple Red is converted into an Esquire. The one on the far right is a Douglas Tele, and I also have 2 SX Teles not pictured...so 9 Teles, and really trying to control myself about getting Tele #10...

Keep an eye on ebay. It's always a risk buying a guitar sight unplayed but I got a great deal on a MIM Tele a couple weeks ago. It was in excellent shape and it felt like it was made just for me.

Haha, I thought I was bad having 3 Teles!

Crazy pics guys.

As others have said, there are lots of cheap Teles around, you could get a used Squier for next to nothing.

Well...yeah...not bad for a singer who happens to 'just like guitars'!

They all get played, just not very well!!
I'd like to get down to about 15 but it is an unrealistic goal. It is a 'problem' that I just have to live with. I know...it is ridiculous.

The best guitar player is whoever is having the most fun. I see some guitarists, or musicians in general, who can play great and many people would consider them to be good players, but sometimes they just don't look like they are having any fun, because it seems like they are concentrating too much on what they have to play.
