I didn't know the war was still going on. I thought the Tele players nuked the Strat players two centuries ago!

We aren't losing the battle mate, We just aren't hangin' with the common folk. Don't get me wrong, All Fenders ROCK! But........... you've got no room to hide on a Tele, You have to be able to PLAY !!

You got that 100% right! I use my Strat and effects when I feel like being lazy. But when I feel like impressing, it's my Tele played through a no effects, clean Super 210. Nothing but me, fingers, Tele and pure tone!

I don't think we're losing the battle... :?

One by one the stRAT and LP players convert to Teles, after they realise the benefits of a REAL guitar...

Hey, who said Tele's were better than Les Pauls. I say that they are the two guitars every real man should have. Or an SG and a Tele. You can get similar sounds from either an SG or a Les Paul. I bought the SG cause its lighter.

If you have the right Tele, you don't even need an LP or SG...

Just get a Tele Deluxe...

Since I own both guitars and post on both Forums, does that make me a double agent?

Not only do i prefer the sound and feel of a tele but the looks.
It just proved that strats are cliche when a guitar noob friend asked me if wanted to buy a guitar. It was by some small time make and i asked him what type of body it had (like a LP or Strat shape or whatever) and he just replied with, A normal electric shape. The type you see everywhere he said.
I later saw it in a photo he took and it was a strat shape.

Like a lot of other posters, I have both, a Lite Ash Strat and a Tele Custom. The Tele definitely gets more play time. BUT - when the conditions call for that Strat tone - there's only one place to go.
