I was an addict of the Strats and then I bough a Tele, one more, again and again and again...
Now I love them as much as my Strats.

That is quite a collection of guitars you have Alain, you're a lucky man. It must have taken some time, how long have you been playing/collecting?

I told my local Fender store guys I wanted a Tele and they told me it was an old mans guitar harhar!!!

I will say I too have been a Strat devotee for many years and still love the tones available to them, however I have found that at least 50% of the music I love needs Tele to get the job done.

This is not my first Tele venture and it wont be my last, but I have found the tones I was looking for in my new Tele for much of the classic rock I grew up on.

Still like the Strat for my other love, The Blues, just a little bit better.

I started with my strat (the usual sunburst), buyed a couple more strats, a mustang, modified the crap out of the strats, then got a tele, simple mim std, WOW, the guy at the music shop is always making jokes on how he convrted me and I owe him for that, jajajajajajaja, it is true though
Wont go out without my tele, period

I love Teles! I do own a Clapton Stratocaster and it is a fine guitar, but it's not a tele. I have built a Nashville Tele, 3 pickups and tried to put a strat configuration but had trouble with putting two tone pots in. I put in lace's, but they sound terrible. I will be swapping them out for Lollars. 4 Teles and a Clapton. Not a bad collection. BTW, I never visit the strat forum, too many yahoos who think they know about guitars.

I don't understand and did not know there was a battle between Fender lovers. Oh well, I'd like to own a tele myself and probably will someday! Peace! 8)

There are way more topics in the Stratocaster forum than in here, so let's show them we know what a good guitar, the Telecaster, really is. 8)

BTW, I posted in the Strat forum that we Tele players probably "play our guitars" more than post on the interwebs which is why the topics are so much lower.

There are also probably more posts because the Strat players have a gazillion questions about how to get their stinkin' tremolo-bridges to play right and stay in tune. Most good Strat players that I know drop their tremolos to the body of the guitar and don't use them.
