It's finished the same way the body is with glossy nitrocellulose.

The back (of the neck) is satin finished.

Very nice Tele. How do you like the U-shape neck?

Most comfortable neck i've ever used. I especially love how it feels near the nut. You can really grip it and form chords.

My favorite aspect is definitely the neck radius, which make bending note sooooooo much smoother and easier, coupled with the medium jumbo frets.

I couldn't believe how easily it played compared to my mexi-strat. So much nicer. I may never play the strat again.

A few weeks ago I was playing a 52 that belongs to a Friend and I like it myself. And I do like the finish they put on them. Enjoy it!

Nice looking guitar. What kind of pickup is the neck pickup? Looks different.

The Cheapest Tele is a MIM Standard Telecaster. I have one in Sunburst color, and I love it. I like its sound, finish, everything... you should get one. It's freakin' sweet. It has a C-shaped neck which I really like, very strong neck. Um, I don't know your standards, but I love how it plays. Really smooth, love it.

Thanks. Do they sound pretty much like most humbuckers or quite different?

I speak for myself when I say this:

A telecaster has the most comfortable body style i've ever played. It just feels right in my lap and feels very balanced when i'm standing up (doesn't tilt or pull in any weird direction).

Obviously, the one I just bought is one of the cream of the crop Tele's, but i've tried a few other mexican made/highway one's and they felt just as sweet as mine.

I say try one out. If you don't like the way it feels, you can always shop around. I love the vintage "nashville" twang of a Telecaster, and also how well they sustain notes and bends.

Thank you.

It's weird. I played it through a Vox AD15VT and a solid state Marshall (I'm looking to attempt and purchase a Fender vibroverb in the future), and it suprisingly sounded better through the SS amp than it did through the amp that has a tube in the pre.

Maybe I just need to hear it through a proper tube amp.

The HB is one of the finer points of it. Very soft and warm, with a well balanced fat tone. I love the middle position where you get the trebly highs mixed with the humbuckers warm sound. It's very balanced and smooth.
