With a conventional finished head stock, and transparent non sparkle red white and blue body over ash, perhaps with a bit of relicing, that could look the absolute nuts.

Actually, you are 100% right. There should be a law against it.

I like the worn gold, slightly Steam Punk feel. I'm not digging the bridge either though.

I still think golden gold looks wrong on a Tele. A Tele is a hammer, a music tool and should be utilitarian throughout. No glitter and no gold (unless worn). How silly would a gold plated hammer look?

I kinda like that black/gold/maple combination. The blinger the better.
But my OCD half (well, that's 50.0099% to be precise…) nags: why aren't the pickup pole pieces gold plated..?

A little "anodizing spray paint" can fix that ;)

I don't have an issue with the pole pieces as pole pieces aren't mean't to be gold (because they aren't), but the pick guard screws are causing me an internal melt down.

Gold plated, my friend, gold plated...

But they did get the screws right on this one - and the bridge looks better, too:

Still, the pole pieces don't match. And those strings, oh my…

I don't care for the matching headstock on that one.

Shweet! Just had a look back through this thread and it is such a shame that most of it is now irrelevant as the images have disappeared :-(
