Hi,

I have a Squier Bullet Tele I like but the pickups lack clarity and punch. After listening to YT demos and playing a Baja 50s I thought I like the TT sound. I'm not sure how far is the Broadcaster bridge pickup in the Baja from the TT bridge pickup in the TT set though...

I thought of buying the TT set with this control plate: https://goo.gl/Noet1S

Is that control plate appropriate for the TT set? What do you think of those pickups? Thank you!

Cheers

The bridge pickup in the Custom Shop Twisted Tele set is 10kOhm which is regarded as hot. The Broadcaster used in the Baja and post-2012 American Standard guitars with the Twisted Tele neck is more traditional sounding. The online auction sites sometimes have used Baja and Am Std TT and Broadcaster pickups. The American Standard pair are RWRP which is an added advantage.

That is a nicely wired control plate made with high quality parts, my only concern would be with the depth of the Squier control rout which might not be deep enough to accommodate the CRL switch which is 1 5/16" overall depth. A quick measurement of the rout should confirm suitability.
