I am trying to verify if the body and neck are correct. I cannot find any white 60s reissue telecasters from the JV serial number time period.
I am trying to attach pics. The JV serial # is on the bridge plate and not on the neck plate or heel of neck.
There is no pencil date on the end of the neck, but it does feel like a MIJ reissue neck.
Correct tuners and profile. Body is odd to me, but i did see pics of the early reissue bodies that had a notch cut out for truss rod adjustment. The finish doesn't look like it has faded, but I'm not sure what type of finish it would be and if it would fade.
Thanks for any help, and I will be glad to take additional pictures of any thing specific.

Maybe he'll come back, and not be a one post wonder.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer his questions.

I'll agree with the refin.
That mint green pickguard is probably aftermarket.
And I'd like to see at least some markings/stamps in the neck pocket, plus there's too much (black?) original paint in there.
Beveled pickups in a JV Tele is new to me, but I'm not very familiar with the model (I'm thinking TL-62, if it's real). Pics of the electronics might tell more.
The neck looks more OK than the body, but I'd like to see if there's anything in the neck end - like a penciled date.

And PS @vinyl, very nice of you to help with pics. Even if the OP did the vanishing trick, it's always fun to try solving mysteries.

Agreed, recent refinish.
No fading of the paint evident showing the PG perimeter.
I don't think I've ever seen a Tele top-hat switch knob in white, and like the body, it seems "too" white.

Also note that the sidewalls in the neck pocket have been sanded down to fresh clean wood. That strongly suggests the neck is not original to that body.

A refinish over the existing finish can make the neck pocket too small for the stock neck. But that would only require sanding the new paint down to the old paint.

If the body was stripped before refinishing, a thicker refinish might require a little sanding.

But having to go all the way down to bare wood means that neck probably couldn't have fit that body even with the original finish.

So most likely, not just a refinish but a refinished partscaster.
