Dear friends !
I want to buy Fender TN-72FAT, MIJ, but I really can’t check serial number - S039986. In official fender checker I saw another guitar.
Maybe You help me ?

The serial number database has a lot of mix-ups with these "reused" Japanese serials.
This serial above brings up "Stratocaster® XII 12-String (2003-2004)" (but almost I'd bet that instrument is from 2005 when it was a limited edition model).

It's possible that Fender Consumer Relations has the original specs for the serial of this topic's Tele; after all it's a 2006-2008. You could contact them via the support pages - and be sure to mention that 12-string mixup and that the Tele is a CIJ, not a MIJ.

And as usual, a serial number is just a guideline, it's no guarantee of legit/original.

I know something about Japanese Fenders/Squiers, but this being a Thinline and a 3-bolter falls a bit on my grey area.

Like MM, I'd like to see more pics.
So far no obvious fake signs, no alarm bells ringing, but yet something bothers me...
I could swear I've seen that kind of a micro-tilt on a Japanese Fender ('71?) Strat, so I'm OK with it being different from the US Micro-Tilt™. Maybe it's the paint in the neck pocket - I'd like to say refin (on top of "Natural" original) but I'm absolutely not sure. Body wood - sen (should be) or basswood (fits the neck pocket grains better, IMHO)..?

So, full shots, at least - front & back. And the electronics, please. If you can, the pickup bottoms would be nice; these look like WRH's but are probably something more common - Dragstars, maybe.
