All right, people

I've been yearning for a '62 Tele in black with the white binding until I found this body online for a reasonable price. I proceeded to add the following parts:

-920D Custom Pickguard w/ Alnico II (neck) and Jerry Donahue (bridge)
-MIJ Foto Flame neck
-original '62 bridge
-electrosocket jack plate

Definitely my main player right now.

Very nice.
I like the bound Tele body as much as I love the original butterscotch.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Hi TheChrisBlaze,
I did the same, as Fender was late to the game.

A Tele Plus Nashville Deluxe for a fraction of cost.

In your place I would add an S1 switch to complement the 2-way toggle.

I used to have a Strat with an S1 switch.
I didn't like it aesthetically, and I didn't find the additional tones useful.
So, I'm not a big fan of the S1 switch.
But I am a fan of the Tele Plus!!

Is Citizen Cope who inspired you to build this partscaster?

IMHO, the best use for an S1 switch on a Strat is to connect the bridge and neck pickups for the Tele-like twang in the 1 and 5 positions (and all 3 pickups in 2 and 4). The G&L S500 has a toggle between the volume and first tone pot that does this and it's a cool option.

Other than that, I've done phased/series/parallel/upsidedown/inside out on dozens of guitars... and never used a single option that the guitar wasn't "born" with.

Might be a bit of a waste to use an S1 for an SPST function, but it will work and keeps the face clean of toggles. The other option is push/pull, which I don't care for.

The S1+7-way switching combination makes for a Swiss Army Knife guitar.

In a recent post I was told that a very small batch of American Deluxe Nashville Telecasters with 7-way switching came factory-equipped with a Fishman Powerbridge and active electronics.

Personally I never seen one across the Internet.

Ronnie normally uses one of these black, double bound ESPs, at least one time during a show.

I didn't know it was B-Bender until I saw this video.

Unfortunately, Ronnie's gold hollow body Duesenberg, and black, chambered maple, Gibson L-5S guitar, with a 25.5" Fender style scale length and Tele style electronics, are not shown in this video.

Ron Wood's Duesenberg,

Keef was seen playing a similar guitar during a jam with Eric Clapton @ Roskilde Festival in 1986.
