It's a bit hard to tell without feedback from the OP.
Now I'm a bit confused as to the problem, and we need to know:

1 - Whether the OP is concerned (rightly so) that his truss rod needed to be maxed out to get the specified relief with the factory strings (9's?), and he will have no adjustment available in the future, should be install heavier strings

2 - Whether the OP had back-bow and was only able to reach spec by fully loosening the rod. If he's running 8's or the factory 9's, this is really not a problem (though perhaps not normal) because heavier strings will pull more bow into the neck.

My initial impression was that the issue and the OP's problem was #1.

#2 apparently is occasionally an issue (Dave's World of Fun Stuff has a video encountering such a neck), and I've seen some posts on other forums indicating what the owners believe to be excessive back-bow on new necks. I suspect time, handling, and weathering would improve this condition.
Thankfully, it is not common to find fall-away on the nut end of Fender style necks... it is more common on Epiphone and other necks with a scarf joint on the headstock.
