Really diggin' that Tuxedo Tele Csapo! That's a very fine instrument right there.

Yeah, and I'm really not a big rosewood neck fan, but that neck looks great on that guitar.

Thanks all.

Mick, I'm with you. As you can see from the shot below, of my Fender CS group, I'm a maple fan too. But with this Tuxedo Tele it just works...

Beautiful CS Tele collection, Csapo!!
IMO, the natural flametop 40th anniversary is the "Star of the Show."
Did you ever consider putting gold saddles on your 40ths?
I always thought that they should have been gold.

My discontinued 2007 American Series Telecaster I posted another thread but someone showed me this one and said I should post here too I might be trading it to get an American Deluxe Tele (any year and hopefully aged cherry) just cause I want one and feel its time for a change but I still want a Tele :)

Just added a Custom Shop '52 Tele heavy relic to the collection. Love those big fat necks.

This is my Telecaster and the only Telecaster a man could ever need.

Here are the specs:
-Body, neck, and finishing done by Guitar Mill in PA.
-Heavily relic'd Lake Placid Blue Nitro finish (Guitar Mill here).
-Maple capped fretboard.
-Late '60s CBS-style decal complete with patent numbers.
-Serialized neck plate.
-CTS 250k pots, NOS Bumblebee .047 cap.
-Aged Glendale bridge.
-Amalfitano TP pickups (I HIGHLY recommend these; probably the best Tele pickups anyone can buy bar none. I swear by them. They run about $200 bucks a set and sound ballsy as hell with a Muff, but sweet and transparent clean. With the tone knob wide open, the neck pickup is open, shimmering, almost Strat-ish and isn't muddy like most -- if not pretty much all -- Tele neck pickups I've ran into while still being mellow and jazzy in tone. Output is around 9 ohms for both neck and bridge.)
-Original Fender F-back tuners (haven't checked to see if these are the in-house made ones or Schaller made, but they are NOT reissues).
-Overall weight is only 5 lbs., 4 to 5 oz. Very lightweight and highly resonant. It's like strapping on pure air.

Bought this beauty for $850 bucks. What in the hell is a Road Worn Tele?

Image

As it seems, a previous owner made a webpage for my Tele. How nice! (My iPhone camera is pathetic, so there's plenty of beauty shots on there.)

Not a big fan of non-Fender guitars sporting Fender decals.

While I'm somewhat inclined to agree here, I look at my Tele like this: nothing Fender currently builds for under $1,000 bucks comes anywhere close and it's very hard to find an AVRI that comes within spitting distance to this guitar (not to mention an AVRI is more expensive). The feel, the tone, the playability ... I'll challenge anyone to find another newer Tele -- Fender or otherwise -- that can touch this guitar for the same amount of dough. This is a custom shop quality, custom built, American made guitar for the price of a Mexican Road Worn and it's worth more than what I paid for it in parts.

How could anyone say no to this guitar over a decal is beyond me.

Guitar Mill didn't add that decal, for the record. I don't know who did, but I do know it wasn't them.

I like that 60th anniv. neck plate. It's a nice touch for sure.
