There she is in all her glory. I just added sperzel locking tuners (not pictured) I'm thinking about throwing a mint pickguard on her.

2009 Squire Classic Vibe 50s Telecaster

It has gone through some changes since I rescued it from the floor of the local Guitar Center.

Replaced controls with Toneshaper and 4-way switch from Acme Guitar Works.

Callaham Dome nobs, nickel to match other hardware.
http://www.acmeguitarworks.com/Callaham ... 5C210.aspx

Warmoth Tortois 3 ply pickguard with holes for neck pickup. Converted neck pickup from body mount to pickguard mount.
http://www.warmoth.com/Pickguard/TelePickguard.aspx

Marc Rutters Guitars jack cup called the "Rutterscup", similar to Electrosocket but available in nickel plate.

Schaller strap locks.

Squire Classic Vibe Custom 60s Telecaster Rosewood neck, picked up on eBay.

That about covers it. This was a fun, relatively inexpensive project and it plays pretty well.

Hi bobio,
How about a review on the Toneshaper.
I don't think anyone will mind you posting that in this thread, or you could start a new one.
Also, did you keep the original pickups?
Gotta love the "Ruttercup!!"

Just joined the board today. I have a 1989 US Tele in metalic aquamarine, with rosewood neck. I've been playing guitar for some 40 years and it took me until last year to get a Tele - goodness knows what took me so long - NOTHING sounds like a Tele! :D

Here's a few pics:

Very nice, Rockcat. That's a color you don't see very often and it looks great with the rosewood fretboard. I'd say you did very well with your first Tele. :)

I have played and owned Strats for more than 40 years but I'm a relative newcomer to Teles. Caught the Tele bug after buying a MIM Standard in 2005 and it's been going strong since then. I'm up to 7 Teles now but these two are my favorites. For a thoroughly modern Tele, a 2009 American Deluxe.

For vintage goodness, an American Vintage '52 Reissue bought in January 2011.

I love my Baja and '72 Thinline Reissue almost as much. Yep, I am a Tele addict.
