That's a beautiful Telecaster, Greg!!
Please post a close-up picture of your bridge.
It looks like a unique 6 brass barrel bridge with no "ash tray" sides, that I'm not sure I've seen before.
Is that bridge on any non-CS Tele's, and did you specifically order it from the Custom Shop?

I'm not sure if it comes on non-CS Tele's, but I have a feeling it probably does.

I'm pretty sure it's a standard on the CS's Tele Custom Deluxe model. I really like it! The pup's are a Nocaster in the bridge and a Twisted Tele in the neck, both sound killer! It has a U neck, which I never thought I'd like, but it turns out I Love It! :!:

My local dealer ordered the guitar about 7 months ago and I just happen to see it when it came in... It was love at first sight. Now I'm Broke!

Your other pictures didn't show the bridge clearly. Looks like an American Deluxe bridge.
Great looking guitar!!

I have a really nice Andy Summers inspired Tele I had built, but I'm not really able to post photos here.

I just finished a "budget build" Telecaster using a Mighty Mite cherry burst ash body.
The cherry burst urethane finish on the ash body is terrific!!
The action is great and it sounds really good.
I will be posting a complete build-up in the Lounge, soon.

Image

I used Fender SCN noiseless pickups, Acme Guitar Works electronics, a Rutters "Shallow Twisted Machined (input) Jack Cup," Fender dome knobs, and an '83 Fender/Schaller toploader bridge that I found on line about a year ago. An '83 Telecaster was my first electric guitar and I have always liked the Schaller Elite bridge saddles that were issued on American Standard Teles and Strats only in '83 and '84. This was my first guitar build, something that I have wanted to do for a long time.

Image

I used a MIM Fender Nashville Deluxe neck, reconfigured with Am Std. tuners and a "button" style string guide. I added pearloid tuning keys a bit later.

Image

Image

With a "toploader" bridge, the string holes through the body are not used, but I still wanted to finish the pre-drilled string holes with string ferrules.
Unfortunately, the Mighty Mite body string holes were initially too small in diameter for the 5/16" diameter Fender string ferrules.
I carefully expanded the string holes using a 1/4" drill bit at a very slow speed, inserted at an angle, without chipping the finish, and then tapped the string ferrules home.
