Here are the latest additions to my Tele herd. They're both Fender Special runs.

Some stunning Tele's guys 8)
I picked up a used MIM Tele on new years eve, I've had my eye on her for a few weeks. I promised myself I'd buy her, if she was still there come 2011. New years eve was close enough  I did the guitar dater number, turns out she was born circa 92-93. She was a real mess to be honest, after some much needed TLC, she looks pretty damn good. I ordered new pup's online this afternoon, I should get them in a day or two, along with a new bridge.

I plan on doing a Tele group pic soon, hopefully desevring a thread of it's own 8)

Alain - Is the red hollow Tele on the far right of your group photo there also a Merle Haggard sig model? I don't believe I've seen one like that before. Beautiful guitars as always sir.

May I ask a really stupid question? If Esquires only have a single pickup, why the heck have they got a selector switch? And how many positions has the switch got?

Here's my 2009 Mexican Tele, she's 100% stock at the moment. I fancy changing the bridge to a three-saddle version with compensated saddles, the pickguard to a silver/black paisley version and possibly upgrading the pickups too at some point but I like the way she sounds as she is.
The other one's her big sister. Not a Tele but a Vintage (brand) V100 flamed honeyburst Les Paul.

Position 1. Volume Control & No Tone Control w/ Capacitor Activated for Darker Tone, Position 2. Normal Volume/Tone Control, Position 3. Volume Control Only

Interesting! Certainly the first (and likely last) that I've seen. It is a beautiful guitar, and the finish looks impeccable even in the photo.
