Heres a pic of my first Tele I just got, traded it for one of my Strats, its a Custom build, set up like an Esquire with a Lindy Fralin P-90. The electronics are set up really cool with the 3 way selector acting in position 1, bypasses the tone completly, middle works the tone like normal, and in position 3 adds a bit more smoothness, like a neck pickup. And to top it off, a 52 re-issue neck. Only problem is the guy I traded with didnt realise the decal was supposed to be raised up a tad bit, not fully flush, and rubbed it completly off. But it is still a Killer guitar and plays like a dream. I was going to sell it, cause I was looking to sell the Strat I traded, but after playing it for an hour, theres NO WAY I am selling it. I will sell 2 of my 4 Strats instead so I can keep this beauty. Heres the pic of it. I will get a better one, my Son has my camera in New Orleans cause he is graduating 10th grade (honors classes) and has a lot of activities going on, so I am using his less expensive digital camera, but still came out half decent.

MIJ 69RI body (vintage white with black binding)
ashtray bridge with glendale brass compensated saddles
Fender SCN pups
4 way switch mod, phase switch, 250k no load tone pot, 1 Meg volume pot and orange drop cap.
Warmoth Vintage Modern Construction neck
-CBS Strat style headstock
-Ebony Board
-Abalone Inlay
-10"-16" compound radius
-22 fret
-Light birdseye
-Vintage tint satin finish
-Graphtech nut
Gotoh Vintage tuners
strung with 10s

I couldn't be more happy. That is until I decide I want to switch to some lolllar pickups hehehe.

Dude, I really like the black binding around the body!!!! Gives it a very distinguished look. I wish mine had that to offset the vintage tint on the neck.

Lovely job and a unique look.

My own completed early 60's inspired Telecaster;

Image

Black Fender 'California' Tele body
Soft V neck/rosewood slab (heel truss rod adj.) & shaped bone nut.
Kluson vintage style tuners
'Butterfly'string tree
CS 'R' neck plate
Fender Custom 72 classic bridge
Cloth wired, 4 way switch, reversed controls (as CS CC tele),
Twisted tele neck and NOS no-caster bridge pick-ups (CS),
Copper shielded throughout.
Fender Mint green pick-guard & 'ashtray' (not pictured)
Vintage strap buttons and top hat switch.
Strung with Fender 10's

The build is a great success and the guitar is very resonant.
I may experiment by swopping in a '62 RI bridge/grooved saddles/brass saddles I picked up... but really it sounds great as it is.

I haven't posted a Tele on here for a while, so here's an interesting early Custom Shop Tele that I recently acquired. It's a Set neck, with what appear to be Gibson HBs, a strat Trem, roller nut and last but not least, a Drop D tuner. About as non Tele as it gets! Great sound and player.

I thought I had posted a pic of my Tele but I searched the entire thread and couldn't find it so here it is. Since I began culling my collection a few years ago I've sold a number of guitars but when it came down to choosing ONE Tele for a keeper there was no question in my mind. This was always the one I reached for first and always came back to. 2000 American Deluxe. I swapped out the cheesy looking stock pickguard (mint green, what were they thinking?) for this moto one.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
