MY MAIN TWO PIECES OF GEAR THAT COVER ALL MY NEEDS. TELECASTER WITH SOMARIUM COLBALT PICKUPS AND AN ORIGINAL 65 BLACKFACE FENDER DELUXE REVERB AMP.

BEEN USING THEM FOR A LONG TIME AND FIND NO NEED TO EVER UPDATE THEM. IF YOU PLAY THE BLUES, THIS IS ALL I HAVE EVER FOUND NECESSARY.

Welcome to the forum! Nice rig! That's all you need. I have the same control knobs on my tele. Did you get them from q-parts?

got the knobs off e-bay from a company in Detroit. Thought they looked much nicer than the stock ones. The real Indian Rosewood pickguard came form a company specializing in such products. It really sets of my Tele. I get a mass of great compliments on that addition. The pictures don't do it justice.
My Tele is a hardtail and has no skunk stripe on the neck, a Corona California neck plate with Micro Tilt adjustment, full cavitiy shielding, an Oak Grisby switch, Full NOS CTS Pots, an NOS Jensen Paper in oil .047 Capacitor, original cloth covered wire and a serial number Fender says they can't trace to an origin. It's a " Mystreycaster" for sure but I adore it!!! Bought it new over the internet some years ago and it was supposed to be an American Standard model but I'm thinking it was somebodys project at Fender and it got shipped by mistake. Whatever I'm sure glad I ended up with it. It has the " Mojo" I have been searching for in many Tele's for many years.

Thanks Snowy! Yes, there were photos of this guitar on display on Dave's Guitar's web site that proved irresistanble, and that is why I bought it.

Like all Custom Shop guitars, it plays beautifully. I won't be playing it regularly however, as I bought it primarily to add to my collection.

The CS Rosewood Teles have a tone all of their own - it's definitely a deeper tone than a Std tele, but still definitively the Tele sound. 8)

Ok, here's my first telecaster, and first electric in over 10 years! Not exactly the conventional kind of tele, but I dig the heavier stuff. And just ignore the pill bottle......... :D
