just out of curiosity, that black circle by the end of the guitar, is that a drilled hole for a B-Bender?

which is for a B-Bender. you can tell by the placement and size. didn't know if the model came with one and he removed it.

No, it's NOT for a B-Bender. :roll:

He drilled a hole in his guitar in the 60s (reportedly under the influence of alcohol one night) because he thought he could put the cord through it and stop it pulling out....he hadn't worked out at that stage that you can route the cord through your strap to do the same thing... :lol:

Funny thing, the hole idea didn't work anyway... :shock:

My partscaster. American standard 2 piece ash body finished in dark amber nitro, Tru-Oiled Mighty Mite neck with Sperzels, Glendale bridge, Callaham saddles, SD Five/Two bridge pickup, GFS Fatbody neck pickup, CTS pots, CRL switch, cloth covered wiring, Fender '52 reissue guard.

That GFS is a pretty decent pickup. I slapped one in the neck position of a hard tail strat to "tele it up" a little. Also have the switching set up so I can get the neck and bridge pups together.

All the hardware came from stewmac, the neck is a mighty mite vintage v tele neck and the pickups are GFS neovin hard vintage noisless. It sounds and plays great!!!
