Thanks to the forum folks, I was able to get this Telecaster for my birthday, and then go out and get the strat for $260. Thanks for all of your help! I went from Fenderless to having two in a week and a half! The Baja is an incredible machine, feels so so good and sounds even better. Next week my new amp will be here. Again thanks to the forum it is a Fender blues Jr, NOS RI Tweed. You guys have helped me so much! Thanks again!

Your username is apt my friend, she is indeed an American beauty. The sound is awesome, to say I'm pleased would be a huge understaement. I almost went for the Custom 52 in butterscotch blonde, but I hooked this one up in the store studio. I fell head over heels in love, I've been playing her since I got home, just can't put her down :D Thanks for the comment TeleLover 41, come to think of it... I hope it was directed at my baby  Some stunning guitars on this thread 8)

My comment was directed at your baby. BTW my Dad had a 69 butterscotch blonde with a white pickguard. I loved that thing. And I agree, there are a bunch of beauties on here.

I love the butterscotch finish, if I hadn't ordered the Dave Gilmour Stratocaster I would have bought the 52 as well. Maybe next year  Your dad's guitar sounds awesome, all the blondies on show had black pickguards. I'd like to see it with a white one. Thanks again TeleLover41.

Well, my Dad did tell me that he had modded it when he first got it. Unfortunately about 10 yrs ago he traded it to a friend for a Peavey T-model. He keeps telling me the Tele had become too easy to play. He had a lot of work done on it when he first got it. For some reason, "too easy to play" just doesn't register well with me. Isn't that what we all look for? A great guitar that is easy to play? Of course he has been playing for around 50 yrs. Me only 27 off and on.

After playing this Tele for a few days, I can now see where you're dad's coming from. This thing is an absolute joy to play, I can'tquite put my finger on the reason or reasons why. The tone is just awesome, which brings me to a question. Have any of you Teledude's used a Boss BD2 pedal? I'm led to believe it delivers some great blues tones, anyone got experience with it? I've been messing with my wah wah's today, as much fun as they are, I kinda feel restricted. I'm never happy  Any advice would be much appreciated guys, I'm on a huge bluesy trip right now. And i have to say, it's this guitar that's brought it out

Hello, everyone...

My name is Don, and this is my first post. I've been lurking around here for awhile, due to the fact that I work graveyard shift and the forum is closed to post by the time I have a chance to read them.

I've been playing a Tele with a Bigsby for 38 years now. It was a gift from my Dad. He bought it new for about $249.00, I think. Anyway, here it is, I hope the picture works...
